Nurburgring safety leaflet

Too many people arrive at the Ring with no appreciation of the risks and no idea of the rules - both official and unofficial. The Ring is not a short-circuit with run-off, gravel-traps and tyre-walls, it is a track declared too dangerous for continued use by professional racing drivers.

The leaflet below was a collaborative effort of a number of Ring enthusiasts of a whole range of nationalities. It summarises what we collectively feel to be the most important points to bear in mind when driving or riding at the Ring. Volunteers on the Ringers list then translated the leaflet into a rather astonishing number of languages.

There is also now an official safety leaflet in three languages. This is somewhat less hard-hitting than the unofficial one, and also less comprehensive, but has the advantage that it is available in the ticket office. You can download a PDF of the leaflet
