Vehicle rentals start at around €200 for half a day, €300 for a full
day, and go up to €2,000 per day or more. Prices may or may not
include fuel, insurance coverage (including damage to the car and Ring) and
excess, Ring lap tickets, mileage etc. While hiring a car isn't cheap,
the companies here all operate in good faith. They want you to have a
great time and are not interested in taking more money from you than the
hire cost, but crashes are expensive so please take the time to understand
your agreement and what you will have to pay for if you damage the car while
on hire.
General hire car companies like Avis and Hertz forbid use on the Nürburgring and have ways of finding out if you have broken their agreement. They will make you pay the full cost of any damage incurred on the Ring, or will (apparently) will charge a penalty even if you do not have an accident. The rumour is that they employ spotters to report the use of any hire car on the Ring. Bikes are available to rent for use on the roads around Nürburg, but the agreements specifically exclude use on the Nürburgring. We’re now offering cars for rent for use on the Nordschleife in either the public sessions (touristenfahrten) or for track days. Both left and right hand drive cars are available.
Our cars are RenaultSport Twingo 133 RS’s, a blend of front wheel drive ease of use, with razor sharp handling, keen brakes, ESP and traction control. We offer 2 levels of rental, both inclusive of lap tickets. The price includes 2 drivers. Cars will be supplied with a full tank of fuel, and should be returned with the same.
If you would like to use one of our cars for an event elsewhere, such as at Spa Francorchamps, please ask for a quote. There will be a mandatory briefing if you are renting from us for the first time, covering both the car and the track, so allow 40 minutes for this before you are due to take the car. No exceptions will be made. Unused laps will be refunded at 70 Euro per lap, if for example the track closes due to an accident or bad weather. If you have a season ticket or don’t need your rental to include lap tickets then please ask for a quote. A copy of our AGB (rental contract terms and conditions) documents are available on request. Please note that contract documents are legally required to be in German. If you would like to book a car, ask about availability, or have questions please contact us. The small print... All drivers must be at least 23 years old and have held a full car driving licence for at least 5 years. The cars are insured for use on the Nordschleife during public sessions and track days but with the following conditions and excesses; All cars have an excess in the case of total loss of 5,000 Euro. You are also responsible for damage to the track, including barriers, verges and other track furniture as defined in the AGB document. Partial damage will be assessed by us or our maintenance agent and charged accordingly. All insurance excesses must be paid before the rental agreement is terminated and before leaving our premises. We reserve the right to terminate the rental contract early if we are not happy with your conduct.' |
